Fed: Link found between dyslexia and biochemical changes

CANBERRA, Feb 22 AAP - Metabolic problems could be the underlying cause of dyslexia,
autism and chronic fatigue syndrome, a team of Newcastle researchers has found.

The University of Newcastle researchers have discovered a link between reading difficulties
and biochemical changes in the body.

They made the discovery while studying Scotopic Sensitivity or Irlen Syndrome (SSIS),
a condition where the retina in the eye is extremely sensitive to certain frequencies
of the light spectrum.
